WACKY, ABSTRACT MONDAYS: "Provoke the Situation"

I might experience some type of purgatory for this ... but what the hell it is too funny. Kevin Edwards Jr, a Youtube video star, is in this clip, making fun of Rihanna and taking over for Diane Sawyer. Great parody and on some level I agree with what he says. Like how she is using the situation to promote her album. I admire Rihanna's resilience and grace in the situation and I believe she is an amazing ambassador for Barbados, especially since my family derives from Jamaica. She seems genuine in the latest, actual interview, but others retort she is not telling anything to incriminate herself and holding back and this video takes a humorous side to some of the public having this opinion.

Best Dutch Video Ever!

I have no idea what they are saying and I did not even know the Dutch rapped. The title of the song is "Girl Without a Name."

WACKY, ABSTRACT MONDAYS: Ring-A-Ling-Ling

My Youtube video debut. Or is it me? I was sitting down at my desk and I was listening to this song and an idea just popped in my head and this is it in fruition.

Creating An Identity

One of the hardest attributes for me, as an aspiring illustrator, is giving my characters' identities. It is always easy to attempt to draw the idea, but adding to the character is very essential. You have to decide if their gargantuan or miniscule or if their grotesque or beautiful or even if their voluptuous, skinny or bulky. When I try to think of characters, I think of personalities truly different from my own personality or even some I have yet to encounter. While also giving the characters' character, I also have to decide how their costumes are going to look or what weapons, armor, accessories they are going to have. Even if I'm not the best sketch artist, I cherish coming up with my own ideas and creating life with my writing and drawing. The image provided is a sketch of a bestial woman who originates from another planet. I had a name, but I am thinking about changing it because it may have already been in use.

WACKY, ABSTRACT MONDAYS: Unwanted ... undead or alive

Parody of Twilight: New Moon. This is hilarious and the editing is surprisingly good. My favorite part has to be when Edward is being pummeled.

Time to Summon!

Still don't know when Final Fantasy XIII is coming to the states ... but I am having a great time looking at the concept art of the game. These images were released on various websites and the first scene seems to be Lightning hovering in the air over the city. Kinda weird. Anyone who has played any FF title should be familiar with the next few summon designs. Carbuncle, Ifrit and Shiva. I'm patiently waiting to see the redesigned, summon of Shiva, in action because it consists of twin sisters which transform into a motorcycle and evidently belong to Snow.

Oh Oh Oh ... It's Magic - Pilot

Former teenage witch, Melissa Joan Hart, of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, the television series, derived from the Archie comic, was recently interviewed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! She must be on Dancing with the Stars or something, but anyway this is crazy funny. Let's just say this is an EPIC DAMN FAIL for Miss Hart!

The Last Man Standing

In my personal life, I read many magazines dedicated to artists and improvements in digital medium. This post is in total dedication to artist, Daniel Luvisi, who is now creating "the first American manga." He plans to release a graphic novel entitled, The Last Man Standing, in which the story follows a man named, Gabriel.

Several images from this upcoming graphic novel have been released in ImagineFX, on Dan Luvisi's blog and on his deviant art page. His characters are truly stunning. The colors and realistic renders breathe life into these creations. The characters' costumes and modern-day accessories make them very appealing to this day and age's audience. Every image also displays foreshadowing to the events within the story and I believe it is going to be an amazing tale.

I know little about the plot of this graphic novel, but I can definitely appreciate a new, modern story, especially if it compares to Japanese manga. The character designs are fantastic and I seriously urge viewers to buy this graphic novel. I do not believe you'll be disappointed because I am already in love with Luvisi's digital work. Most of his images were created with Photoshop as well. From my perspective, his humor is also being fused into his characters and their names even refer to historic and even biblical pairs, like Bonnie & Clyde - Kane & Able. Stay tuned for more from Dan Luvisi. Here are additional images.

Wacky, Abstract Mondays: They will Astonish.

Being an uber fan of X-comics, I truly had to mention my love for Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men series. It was a story arc filled with intriguing plots, like the controversial rebirth of Colossus. Chapters including a twisted, sentient Cerebro and outer space bouts. Joss really depicted how powerful each mutant on the team was in this story-line and he also wrote with a great sense of humor. The issue where the team finds Colossus is remarkable and Emma, Wolverine and Beast confirm it is him at the same time because of Emma's telepathy and Hank/Logan's sense of smell. Subsequently, Colossus and Kitty sleep together in another issue and she phases through the bed and to the lower floor. This series displayed action and humor and I would expect nothing less from the writer of Buffy, The Vampire Slayer. Here is an interesting web video dedicated to The Astonishing X-Men.

An Acoustic Experience

Paramore, my favorite band, doing a cover of "Use Somebody," originally by Kings of Leon. I truly believe Hayley's voice is amazing for someone of her age. It is intensely strong and it touches my spirit. Enjoy.

Wacky, Abstract Mondays: Lip Glossin' Fool Runs A Muck

Lil' Mama, recently was interviewed and stated she did not mean to walk on stage and just was into the moment. Clearly, she must have memory issues because this is what really happened.

RenderTime

[Upload your own video]

Whether it is being humorous or actually fabricating my own world, creating 3-D models and characters is one of the greatest attributes going to university could have taught me. It is a very long and rigorous progress, but the finish product is amazing and I cannot wait to attempt to take more of my sketches and adapt them to a 3-D environment. I created all of the models in the shorts, rendered all of them and added colors and textures myself but it was all worth it because I believe I am learning more about my field and expressing different personalities of the characters I create. Additionally, the hardest part is key-framing the actions of the models, which is the most precise and strenuous part of the process. So keep your eyes peeled for more of my art and take a look at "Bouncy Cube" and "The Butterfly Lamps."

Wacky, Abstract Mondays: I am The Police.

I know it is not Monday, but here is a vid that should have been posted on Monday. Meet The Real Housewives of Atlanta or like I refer to them The True Bitches, who are famous by Association, of Atlanta, except Kandi and Lisa ... call me. I think this is ridiculous, but Nene is so damn funny. "I will choke you!"

Laura ... shut the %$# up!

When I agree with Bill O'Reilly, there is an authentic dilemma. Laura Ingraham, has an egregious perspective of Barack OBama winning the Nobel Peace Prize. An economic state, is not the mistake of one man, neither former President, George Bush or current President, Obama, are responsible for America's economic state. And if the economic state is a basis for power then we are most likely still powerful in that respect and it has nothing to do with peace among other countries. I believe we are still amongst the most powerful nations.

Furthermore, she then said America used to be more militant and powerful ... I mean compared to Korea I do not think we will ever be as powerful as their military until years down the line. She sounds like she is supporting another World War. I do not understand how she can sit there and propagate war, when American families are still waiting for troops to come home from foreign countries. I also want to know what she meant by "people like him.." and "he would a good European representative." You know what Laura, you should be honored our President is acknowledged as a symbol of peace, rather than a symbol of war (ie Bush). America, from my perspective, has really been a country which always has conflicts, whether it is a taking over land, enslaving people, inducing civil war or participating in major wars. Maybe it is time for us to be looked to as a people of resolution and not conflict.

Asshat of the Day: Why You So Obsessed with...Mcdonald's Chicken?

Today, after I got off work I was trying to decide what to blog about and this popped up right before my very eyes. I like McDonald's like the the next person, but this is a damn shame and it takes place in Wal-Mart, of all places. Now, you're not only making hungry people look bad. but Wal-Mart Shoppers too! You don't need anymore damn chicken! You need some tofu dammit! I know his blood pressure must be sky rocketing. Asshat of the Day.

Drawing is ... not an exercise of particular dexterity, but above all a means of expressing intimate feelings and moods - Henri Matisse

Sketching for me is therapeutic sometimes and its about feeling out the drawing and not thinking about it. Here are two of my favorite characters, Voodoo and Logan. Inspired by Jim Lee and Michael Turner.

X-23 Marks The Spot

X-Force #18
Great continuity and awesome art. This series surrounds the mercenaries of the X-Men, including Wolverine, X-23, Domino, Warpath, Archangel, Wolfsbane and members with supporting abilities, like Vanisher and Elixir. There are different events taking place in this storyline, but it depicts X-Force stopping exploding mutants, wolf metamorphs fighting giants and "demons" from X-23's past. X-23 is Wolverine's clone and her creators come back into her life. Mike Choi and Sonia Oback outdid themselves with their vivid illustrations in this book and the writers are tying in separate storylines cohesively with much avail. Great read.

WACKY, ABSTRACT MONDAYS: If they like it, they should've put a bib on it!

Starting today, I have decided to dedicate Mondays to the latest humorous web videos, entitling the series Wacky, Abstract Mondays. I definitely want to showcase the "Single Ladies' Baby." If a baby can recognize and dance to this video, maybe Kanye West had a point...maybe Queen B did have the greatest video ever or maybe the little toddler has the same fixation with gyrating hips as I do. Here's to you dancing baby. The twitching leg is better than "jerking" or the "reject!"

Top 20 Famous, yet Creative Individuals

First of all, I am not a judge of any kind, but I thought I would list some of the thespians, artists and writers who have been influences to me thus far. Additionally, throughout my life I have looked up to many of them as inspirational guides because they have endured the same hardships as me or even been raised in similar areas as myself and became successful. Artistically, some of them are the most creative people on Earth and some might even have the same birthday as myself, but I thought I would list them...so here is my TOP 20 LIst, in no specific order.

Will Smith
Honestly, my favorite actor and not because he is the most powerful actor on the planet, but because of his realness and his ability to genuinely act. I don't know how many times people have compared me to his character, Hancock, but in all actuality I believe me and him do have a lot in common, beside the big ears and our height. He seems like a genuine person and he should really be commended for his charity work with Katrina victims, Nelson Mandela and HELP.

Martin Lawrence
This is not a Bad Boys theme, but I do like that movie. I have been a fan of Martin since his show aired and I am still a fan. He is brilliantly funny and I do not think people realized how humorous he is. Every time Martin transformed into Shenehneh or Gerome, I totally saw those characters and did not see him anymore. Any actor who can make me believe a character is real is a hit. I empathize completely with his character in the show. Saying the first thing that comes to mind or kicking his friends out. That's me for real.

Angelina Jolie
Sensual, phenomenal actress, best damn super-heroine. Moreover, I admire her because of what she does in Africa and because she lives by her own standards.

Jim Lee
Guru of illustrating. Amazing penciler for DC, previously Marvel, who is now the Executive Creative Director on an MMO (mass-mutiplayer-online) game of the DC Universe. Definitely want to meet him and he is the biggest inspiration when it comes to art because I've been looking at his drawings since I was 5.

Persia White
Extreme activist and vegan. She is crazy talented. Actress, singer and animal-lover. She is stunning to me in various ways. She is art.

Aubrey "Drake" Graham
Believe he might take over when Jay retires. As an actor, I believe he shows intelligence and great delivery. As a lyricist, singer and writer, I believe he is truly gifted and personally I can vibe with him being of mixed descent (Jewish and Black). Expect some big things from him. "That's mothafuckin' Drizzy...."

Cassie Steele
This Canadian Beauty, being Filipino and White, is completely demanding. She can not only act, but has great vocal ability and is a songwriter. Can't wait 'til she takes over the states.

Michael Turner
One of the best Marvel artist I have seen, who depicted Spider-Man, Captain America and even the X-Men incredibly. Every sketch displayed, dynamic anatomy of his characters. He was an avid game player, did martial arts and his original comic book, Soulfire, in my opinion, was more amazing than the Marvel characters. He recently passed away from cancer, but his memory will always persevere through his artwork.

Marc Silvestri
CEO of Top Cow Productions. Illustrator, creator and a great sense of humor. Think me, him and my father are exact same height.

Chris Claremont
Long-term writer of the X-Men. Fantastic man with a great imagination and I'm glad I got a chance to meet him.

Daryl "Chill" Mitchell
Best known from House party, Daryl Mitchell, had his own rap group and was seen on many sitcoms. He was injured after a motorcycle crash and ended up in a wheelchair. He still acts and works close with the Christopher Reeves foundation for handicapped individuals.

Keri Hilson
Ever wonder who was the cutey in the Richboy video or who was featured in Lloyd Bank's "Help." Let's just say I knew about Keri for awhile and knew she was a talented songwriter with the Clutch, who also includes Timbaland and Polow Da Don. She has written so many songs for artists and every single she was ever featured on I listened to, but after she officially released her album, I believe Americans could finally see how talented she is. This green eyed temptress has some good vocals and has written songs like "Hurts Me," "Get Your Money Up," "Knock You Down" and "Slow Dance." Using metaphors, oxymorons, real-life situations and her swag makes KH my female musical artist of the year.

Terrence Howard
More green eyes..raised in my hometown, and definitely a true thespian and a guitarist. His father was put in jail for manslaughter, and he went from the projects to university, but then went into acting. Recently, he asked for more money because he was not being paid as much as Robert Downey Jr. or Gwyneth Paltrow. Subsequently, he was removed from Iron Man 2 and he has earned my greatest respect because taking a stand against inequality, no matter the field, is a wonderful deed.

Larry David
Creator of Seinfield and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Jon Favreau
Director of Iron Man and a gargantuan fan of the comic book.

Nina Dobrev
Canadian actress. Lead actress in Vampire Diaries. Just think she's hot.

FAMOUS SAGITARRIANS I LIKE (CLOSE TO MY BDAY)

Christina Aguilera.
Praised as one of the best vocalist.

Alyssa Milano.
Co-producer of Charmed, actress and a humanitarian. She has been to Africa so many times and has contributed to several charities.

Jamie Foxx
Played football, comedian, songwriter, astonishing singer and actor.

Sean "Jay-Z" Carter
Best rapper alive, President and CEO of Def Jam Records, mogul.

A Real F*ckin Job!

Man...I can't believe I have an actual full-time job. I'm in disbelief. I work for this organization who tracks shipments. The people are great and it is a legitimate 9-5. Laid back though. I really want to make my desk more personalized. Maybe hang up some drawings or make silly shit that nobody else would come up with. Did I mention the people are extremely dope? I wonder if I am gonna kick it with them after work. Can't really discuss too many details of the job. I'm sure I would be breaching some kind of contract I signed when first working there. Well, since I'm finally off of work and the sun's rays are cascading against my window, I really feel as though I should enjoy the rest of this beautiful, Friday. It has been a great work day and I hope it will turn into an eventful evening. It is me and my significant other's anniversary. We've been together for 3 months now and I really don't know where this is going, but I know we are terrific together. Well gotta go. Signing off for now, but I promise I'll be back more frequently blog. Gotta add my favorite FAST-FOOD worker to this post! BON QUI QUI! GET 'EM, BITCH!
